A Successful Open House at Shanty Bay Golf Club
Our Open House at Shanty Bay Golf Club on Saturday was a huge success and a great reflection of the strong community that surrounds SBGC. As part of JDass Corp, Shanty Bay Golf Club continues to serve as a welcoming space where community connection and giving back are at the forefront. Held on Saturday, December 6th from 11 AM to 3 PM, the event welcomed more than 200 guests who came together to shop, enjoy lunch, reconnect with friends, and support a meaningful local cause.
Saturday’s SBGC Open House offered a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, allowing members and guests to spend time in the clubhouse, explore upcoming golf opportunities, and enjoy everything Shanty Bay Golf Club has to offer.
Supporting CTV Toy Mountain
Giving back was a key focus of the Open House, with guests invited to donate to CTV’s Toy Mountain. The response was generous and truly appreciated.
By the end of the day, two full containers of toys were collected, along with $400 in cash and gift cards. Shanty Bay Golf Club matched the cash donations with an additional $400, doubling the monetary contribution.
All toys, cash, and gift cards were delivered directly to CTV, helping support families in need during the holiday season.
Golf Packages and Pro Shop Savings
The Open House provided access to exclusive golf package discounts of 5 percent, 10 percent, and 15 percent, giving attendees a valuable opportunity to plan ahead for the upcoming golf season. These offers were well received by both returning members and those new to the club.
Guests also enjoyed 15% off Pro Shop merchandise, making it a popular stop throughout the afternoon. From apparel to accessories, the Pro Shop was busy with seasonal shopping, supported by friendly staff and a few fun door prizes that added to the experience.
Featuring Artist Deb Bridgman
A highlight of the event was meeting local artist Deb Bridgman, who joined us with her new and current Shanty Bay Golf Club inspired creations. Guests enjoyed viewing her artwork and learning more about the inspiration behind each piece.
Featuring a local artist added a personal and creative element to the Open House and reinforced SBGC’s commitment to supporting community partnerships beyond the golf course.
Food, Conversation, and a Welcoming Atmosphere
Complimentary coffee, tea, and pizza were available throughout the event, creating a comfortable space for guests to relax and connect. The clubhouse was filled with conversation as friends caught up and new connections were made.
The Open House felt like a community gathering, which continues to be an important part of the Shanty Bay Golf Club experience.
Community Giving Beyond the Open House
Supporting the community extends beyond individual events at Shanty Bay Golf Club. As part of JDass Corp, Shanty Bay Golf Club supports the JDass Charitable Foundation and its commitment to meaningful causes that make a real difference.
Among the initiatives supported is The Haven Mental Health & Wellness, which provides accessible mental health support for first responders and military families. Shanty Bay Golf Club supported Haven by hosting the Haven’s 3rd Charity Golf Tournament, held on June 6th, sponsored by JDass Corp.
